Our handicrafts sessions provide children ages 4 to 12 a chance to learn traditional Appalachian crafts while making a special toy or souvenir to take home! Popular during the Vanderbilts’ time, such crafts as off-loom weaving, quilt design, and creating corn shuck dolls and limberjacks (a folk instrument) are kept alive by our instructors’ enthusiasm and expertise.

A Gardener’s Place Seminars: Orchids for Everyone

Join Biltmore gardening experts in A Gardener’s Place Shop beneath the Conservatory for complimentary gardening demonstration, Orchids for Everyone. Caring for this most beautiful and diverse of all plan species is easier than you think! Discover what orchids need to thrive and re-bloom, season after season.

Explore the estate’s East Side with an insider’s perspective on this moderate- to fast-paced guided hike through wooded areas on dirt-packed trails. Meet your Trail Blazers hike leader atthe Outdoor Adventure Center. Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes; active wear isavailable at The Marble Lion retail shop within The Inn and at Antler Hill Outfitters in Antler Hill Village.

Explore the estate’s East Side with an insider’s perspective on this relaxed-paced guided stroll onpartially paved trails. Meet your River Stroll leader at the Outdoor Adventure Center. Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes; active wear is available at The Marble Lion retail shop within The Inn and at Antler Hill Outfitters in Antler Hill Village.

Join us for a unique outdoor yoga experience in a quiet setting with a focus on wellness, balance, and rejuvenation. Meet your instructor on The Grand Terrace of The Inn at 8:15 a.m. No mat required, towels provided. Wear comfortable clothing. Active wear is available at The Marble Lion retail shop at The Inn and at Antler Hill Outfitters in Antler Hill Village.

Toy Model of Biltmore House

Included with admission

Come see this intricate replica of Biltmore House meticulously executed with thousands of tiny toy bricks! From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Wine Shop at the Winery plays host to the Biltmore House model, while the toy replica of Lodge Gate is housed within Village Hotel.

Memorial Day Celebration Dinner at Antler Hill Barn

Join us for a delicious dinner buffet that pays tribute to our veterans with a unique USO South Pacific theme evening and fun activities for all ages.  Enjoy live music featuring the Liberty Belles Trio, a group who bring to life the songs of the great musical era of the 1940s, Biltmore wine, select beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.  End the evening with a dramatic fireworks display on estate grounds.

This week’s G-rated movie, The Parent Trap (1961) stars Hayley Mills, Maureen O’Hara and Brian Keith.
